    • The Ron McEntire Sacred Choral Scholars Program

Canon Ron McEntire served St. Luke’s Church as Minister of Music for nearly 10 years across two stints. He played with passion and invited us to share his passion for music. He lead the restoration of the organ and oversaw the procurement of two pianos—including the beautiful Steinway B in the Church. Ron credited so much of his musical talent and passion to being pressed into service at a young age to help lead worship in his Father’s churches. We couldn’t think of better to continue Ron’s legacy that invite other young people into leading worship. In his honor, we have created the  Ron McEntire Sacred Choral Scholars Program. It creates an opportunity for 4 high schoolers to advance their singing and exposure to sacred music through a fellowship program.  Each student will receive weekly private voice lessons with our current Minister of Music (Loren Masánqué), sing with the St. Luke’s Choir, discover opportunities for solos and a receive $250 honorarium at the conclusion of the program.
